Notomo

Notomo is a Mac companion app that adds powerful enhancements to Apple Notes without moving your notes anywhere. It lives in your menu bar and provides quick access to formatting tools, AI assistance, and note management features.

Key Features

• Markdown Syntax: Type familiar Markdown markers (or CJK-friendly aliases) and get native Apple Notes formatting as you type
• Inline Toolbar: Improve, explain, or reformat selected text right where you're writing
• Slash Commands: Press / to format, insert templates, or ask AI without hunting through menus
• Quick Open: Press ⌘O to find any note or folder and jump straight to it
• Command Palette: Copy, export, link, and more from one unified command palette
• Templates: Keep reusable templates as regular notes, then insert them with a slash command
• Note-Aware AI Assistant: Open Assistant beside Apple Notes, @ mention a note or Skill, pick a model, and paste the answer back into your writing
• Global Actions: Press ⌥⌘P from anywhere to run Skills on selected text in Mail, Safari, or any writing app
• PopClip Extension: Select text and open Actions directly from PopClip

AI Integration

Notomo supports multiple AI providers including ChatGPT, xAI Grok, Gemini, GLM, and OpenRouter. Bring your own API keys—Notomo doesn't sell AI credits.

Privacy

Your notes stay in Apple Notes. Only the context you actively send goes to your configured AI provider. Note text, prompts, responses, and clipboard contents are never included in analytics.
